Kayseri has a deep-rooted tradition of hand-woven carpets in the Central of Anatolia.
This carpet, produced in Kayseri and aged approximately 60 to 100 years, produced with natural wool and natural dyes on cotton warp, offers a style that compliments the interior design with its distressed appearance.
These carpets have been lovingly re-purposed with refurbishment techniques, cleaning, sheering the pile to uniform depth, using the sun to mellow the colors to a patina with gloriously subtle design, color and pattern. This process prolongs the life of the carpet and is a sustainable practice in the handmade carpet sector.
